An add-on allowing you to make private searches.

Everyone knows that Google, like any other search engines, saves queries that users perform to use them for commercial purposes, provide targeted advertising and other purposes. And if you don't want this to happe to you, there are few alternatives.

But there are some there, as this free Firefox extension (but also available for Google Chrome), which lets you do private searches without the search being able to track user queries, or the results that you access. And in a comfortable , straightforward way, uncomplicated, through the browser address bar, or the Disconnect Search interface itself.

Disconnect Search, created by former employees of Google along with an engineer from the NSA, operates using VPN techniques to hide your IP address. The searches first pass via Disconnect Search servers, which makes queries appear as their own, rather than marked as proceeding from a particular user. In this way, the search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing or any other search engine) can't pass the keywords to sites visited by clicking on search results. All inquiries are encrypted, so it also prevents access to your information by service providers.
